Introduce
As children, we all have dreamed at least once of going to the moon. Out of reach for 99.999 percent of humanity, the moon is a mysterious place that fuels our boundless imagination. But what if there is life on the moon? And, in that world, what if there is a legendary magical “gate” capable of making wishes come true?
Stemming from this imaginative wordplay, The Gate carries several meanings. Translated as “moon” (문) in Korean, the word can refer to both the moon and a door or a gateway. Furthermore, “moon” often serves as a motif in literary works, symbolizing an entrance to a particular event or situation. It can also represent an unknown world or an unanswerable question.
Andamiro Art Company combines various meanings of “moon” to create a new work of art. This performance does more than simply depict a “gate”; it marks a special journey that prompts us to imagine where the door will take us and what stories lie beyond.
You are invited to the mysterious world of The Gate. Step through its threshold and be transported to a world beyond your wildest dreams. Will you open the door with us? -
Information
Take the moon, a building’s entrance, and a gate to the unknown and combine all these meanings—The Gate emerges as an intricate tale. It depicts the adventures of the Andamiro expedition to uncover the legendary “gate” hidden on the surface of the moon.
This legendary “gate” makes wishes come true, works miracles, and conceals treasures like gold and gemstones, but it has remained hidden and inaccessible for a long time.
Undeterred, the Andamiro crew embarks on an adventure fueled by their dreams. Their mission: to locate the mysterious “gate” on the moon. Where does this “gate” lead? What kind of world awaits on the other side?
Will the expedition unravel the secrets that lie within the tranquil sea, the unknown journey? Join in their adventure and unlock the door to the mysterious world that awaits. Won’t you take part in this exciting journey to unravel the secrets of the moon? -
