Introduce
“How does dementia alter an individual’s perception of the world?” Dementia is a disease that affects not only the person afflicted but also profoundly impacts those around them.
For humans who live with their past, the loss of memories may be far more terrifying than one can imagine. As trite as it sounds, “What is truly precious does not change.” -
Information
As Mr. Hwang lives his eighth decade, his memory has been gradually fading. He keeps making mistakes that leave his family increasingly worried. He has dementia.
Despite his humble beginnings, having fled to the south during the Korean War, Mr. Hwang built a successful life. Although his relationships with his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren are not without flaws, his dedication and hard work throughout his life cannot be denied…
Unable to look after him or send him to a nursing home, the family decides to hire a live-in caregiver named Ok.
The family members, each struggling with their own issues, begin to trust and grow close to Ok, but trouble arises once again when Mr. Hwang mistakes Ok for a woman he loved long ago. . . . -
